Real men are not afraid of Ballroom Dancing

Anyone who still believes the myth that ballroom dancing is for sissies or has been living under a rock or just using that as an excuse for their own fears.

Emmitt Smith of Dallas Cowboys fame, and former Superbowl Champion, waltzed away Wednesday night with another winning trophy to put on your mantelpiece, the Mirror Ball Trophy championship of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars."

I am very proud of this man to shatter all stereotypes, and provide a robust response to once and for all the age old question: what kind of man learns dancing Lounge? The answer …. A real man!

Surely there can be doubt as to the virility of this man, nor his confidence in himself. Not only dive fully in uncharted waters, but he decided to do it on television nationwide, before millions of viewers. How many men (or women for that matter) have the guts to do that?

I've heard all the excuses for not taking plaintive ballroom dance classes … I have two left feet …. Dancing is for sissies …. I have no time to learn something new …. What makes to know to dance, I will never compete … And look stupid …. I'm not good at it … I do not like …. is too expensive … and so on ad nauseam. No matter what words they choose, they are all basically saying the same thing … "I do not trust me same and it scares me. "How terribly, pathetically sad.

Knowing what I know about ballroom dancing, there is simply no excuse for not learning. I've seen men with no legs in the dance lounge. I've seen macho types, types of geek and overweight men move with grace, and who executed a beautiful ride sea. I have known men who took part-time jobs to pay for the lessons continued. I have witnessed men literally dragged to the study against their will and watched with pride as he became not only very good dancers, but one even went on to become a phenomenal instructor. How much would have lost if they let their fears prevent them from trying.

There are many things in this world to be afraid. Ballroom dancing is not one of them. Do not be afraid to open up new possibilities. The many benefits you receive can happen to you.
