Birthday Parties

birthday parties
At what age to leave birthday parties started?

I wonder at what age it becomes typical for most parents to spend their children at birthday parties instead of staying. Note, I'm not asking at what age you personally would feel comfortable doing, but what age shows that most parents start doing it.

Wow, Really?!? I'm from London and I was 5! On my fifth birthday, all parents left, apart from about 6 children who had cried cos they wanted their mummies: P haha Now I'm in ninth grade and my parents who stay in the car and have been doing, or simply get to the door for 5 seconds since I was 9! Though it may sound like an innocent how-to on hosting a sex toy party (as in selling vibrators to giggling friends), it is in fact a guide chock-full of ideas and tips on actual sex parties (as in getting it on with aforementioned giggling friends). Written by Simon Sheppard, it is written from the viewpoint and preferences of a gay man, but the lessons are applicable to any mix of gender or orientation. Filled with advice, Sex Parties 101 goes over party planning ideas, codes of conduct, and the ups and downs of group sex, with an emphasis on gay males. A good peek into the world of threesomes, foursomes, and moresomes, real life examples are also covered to give the reader a feel for the mindset of some past participants. Informative with a dose of tongue-in-cheek humor, if you’re a beginner interested in learning more about group sex, Sex Parties 101 is a great read.

 10 Principles for Spiritual Parenting

10 Principles for Spiritual Parenting

$13.99

In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, how do we, as parents, honor the spirituality of our children? As we shuttle between school, soccer practice, piano lessons, ballet lessons, birthday parties, and doctors’ appointments, how do we find the time to encourage our children, through the ups and downs of growing up, to turn to God for guidance? In 10 Principles for Spiritual Parenting, Mimi Doe and Marsha Walch open our eyes to the spontaneous, creative, freethinking joy that characterizes a child’s innate spirituality. In ten easy-to-follow chapters containing exercises and practical suggestions, the authors point out that opportunities to express spirituality are abundant in our routine life. Talking at dinner, lighting candles, performing daily chores–all of these events have the potential to be sacred moments. Contemporary parents face unique challenges: In our media-saturated culture, children are continually exposed to violence, cynicism, and a confusing code of ethics. By offering concrete ways to help children develop positive values, Mimi Doe and Marsha Walch support parents’ efforts to counteract negative messages. 10 Principles for Spiritual Parenting is an invaluable guide for parents who yearn to help their children nurture a rich spirituality of their own.
