am i over reacting?
my boyfriend of 2 years always has pictures of naked celebrities on his desktop wallpaper and is always looking for new pictures on the net. i sat down and told him a few weeks ago that i didn’t like it because it makes me feel bad about myself because my body doesn’t compare to them so he apologised and said he wouldnt do it again. a week later when i asked to use his computer there was another picture on his wallpaper and i could see that he had downloaded even more, am really upset because he promised he wouldnt do it again. he obviously doesnt care how i feel…am i over reacting?
I do not think you are overreacting. I know a lot of guys that do this and just do not seem to understand why that hurts our feelings or makes us feel bad about ourselves. A lot of it stems from our own insecurity and I think some of it has to do with their insensitivity. He obviously does not think it’s that big of a deal even if it bothers you. You’re going to have to figure out how to deal with this if you choose to stay with him because he probably won’t quit.
