"I can be a professional dancer at 30? If so, how?
I know it's been asked a million times before, but my age is the factor decisive. I'm too young for my age however, and have been involved in dance since I was 4 years old. I took ballet for 15 years, tap the 17 + years, and danced in the show choir during high school and college. I still maintain my physical dancer, although I have to regain all my strength. I have recently started to take private lessons in ballroom dancing, and I am progressing very quickly. I want to compete and would like to be professional, but I think it could be too old for that. Does anyone know of any schools or training centers that offer intensive instruction in ballroom? I know it's expensive, but I just wondering if I have a chance to or if you just must try to become an instructor.
Train with the best instructor you can find in your area. learn the difference between social and competitive trainers. Unless you are looking to become a master of social, do not bother with the medal tests. Get some competitive experience instead of being possible. You're too old to reach the top (I mean World Championships) but you can get really good. Get some competitive experience. And keep training.
